The company “Neva Cables" is the closed joint-stock company founded in 1992 by firm Nokia Cables (division of concern NOKIA, 51 % of actions) and the Petersburg telephone system (49 % of actions). In 1997 there was a re-structuring of concern NOKIA, as a result of which 51 % of actions of Joint-Stock Company “Neva Cables” has taken over to firm NK Cables (since 2004 - Draka Comteq Finland Ltd), division of holding Draka, Holland. From 2005 75 % of actions belong Draka Comteq, 25 % of actions belong to Joint-Stock Company Telecom Invest Production, St.Petersburg.

	Draka Comteq is the largest manufacturer of communication cables in Europe. The company owns several enterprises in Holland, Germany, Spain and some other countries. A wide spectrum of communication cables and their accessories as well as fibre-optical, digital networks and data transmission cables are produced at Draka Comteq plants. The Joint-Stock Company “Neva Cables” is the official representative of the company in Russia.
	Holding Draka specializes in the field of manufacture of telecommunication cables, has the big number of divisions in many countries of the Western Europe, America, Asia. Today holding Draka is one of world leaders on manufacture of various types of a cable and borrows 3 place in the Europe on a sales volume.
	Branch " Petersburg telephone system " Open Society " Northwest Telecom " - one of the oldest enterprises of the communication, the largest operator of fixed telecommunication in Northwest region of Russia. Divisions "PTS" are equipped by the newest electronic equipment and possess a powerful transport network on the basis of fiber-optical cables and the symmetric telephone cables made at the enterprise «Neva Cables».
	Open Society "Telecominvest" is formed by the largest telecommunication operators in 1994 for maintenance of efficient control with the new enterprises of communication. The holding borrows in the lead position in sphere of telecommunications in Northwest of Russia, providing their intensive development. Now the question on transfer of actions of Joint-Stock Company «Neva Cables» from the Petersburg Telephone system in possession of Open Society "Telecominvest" with the purpose of more intensive development and dynamical management of a factory is considered.

Thus, now Joint-Stock Company "Neva Cables" belongs to holding Draka, one of the largest holdings on manufacture of cables of communication, and the Petersburg Telephone system, the largest operator of the fixed communication in Northwest region of Russia. Such distribution of actions of the company allows to cooperate effectively with many western companies, and also to have serious support of the Petersburg Telephone system and dynamically to develop sales in Northwest region.
