Urban Telecom Cable used in
local telecom networks in normal and humid
conditions
Number of pairs: from 5 to
600 Wire diameter: 0.4, 0.5, 0.64, 0.7
Cable is produced according to GOST ¹Ð 51311-99 and is intended
for laying in cable sewerage systems, collectors, shafts, along walls of
buildings and suspension on air telecom lines. Certificate of conformity of
Ministry of Telecommunications is available ¹Ä-ÊÁ-0162.
Certificate on the useful
cable type is available: Watertight telecom cable.
Cable has
improved electrical parameters (ohm asymmetry is less than 2 per cent), which
allow to use it in digital data transmission networks.

Cable pecularities |
|
 | ·
Foam-skin insulation provides improved electrical parameters
comparing to ordinary solid insulation.
· Special hydrophobic
compound fills not only inter-wire space but also the space between
longitudinal polyester isolation and aluminium screen.
Cable design |
|
 |
1. Wire: annealed copper
wire.
2. Isolation: foam-skin polyethylene.
3. Group: two or four isolated wires, sprended
into pairs or quands.
4. Sprending: elementary
units 10õ2 (5õ4). Main units 50õ2 (25õ4) or 100õ2 (50õ4). Cable core is
made by sprending of main units.
5. Hydrophobic
compound: inter-wire space is filled by special hydrophobic
compound, which provides longitudinal hermetizaion of cable core.
6. Polyester isolation: insolative polyester
tape.
7. Insulative hydrophobic compound: space
between polyester isolation and aluminium screen is filled by hydrophobic
jelly, which prevents water penetration in case of damaged sheath.
8. Aluminium screen: Polyethylene-covered
aluminium screen is put over polyester isolation along the cable.
9. Sheath: Light-stabilized polyethylene, stable
to climate influences.
